Day 3 in Hawaii
5 days to race day,
Today I was hoping I have started feeling better but it was totally the opposite. I woke up with bad sinus pain. I hate head aches and it is hard to start getting pumped for the big day when you just want to drill a hole in your head to relieve the pressure. Anyhow Mike and I headed down to the pier for a swim on the course again. We bumped into all kinds of famous people in the world of triathlon. It was fun to catch up with athletes I had not seen in 7-10 years. After the swim we headed into the race hotel to get my bike tuned up and then it was off to the shopping center and then back out to your condo. I was so frustrated when I got back to the condo that I was not feeling well, that I decided to go for a run mid day at 94 degrees. I’ve also been nursing a shin issue which we will not get into right now hence no running in days 1 and 2. I’ve been calling this week the Band Aid taper plan. I did a 4km loop at IMpace and it felt ok but I was tired. The body is a long way off being ready to race. After lunch we went to the beach and just relaxed in the shade. Hopefully the sea air will do the trick
- Nice Look Mike!!!!!!
